Match notes

Home field for GIF, It was ment to be a volkfest for the home fans and that it was! 14000 home fans totally sang the 7000 Rider posse to oblivion and the home field fan advantage was total! The riders that was at a small disadvantage against the somewhat more experienced GIF players tried to fetch up by bringing along a magical item but more of that later.

The riders won the coin toss and started as receiving team with the intention to quickly take lead and force GIF to recklessly chase a goal, what they did not account for was the strong GIF defence and the short but swelling hot Nordic summer. The heat was breathtaking and GIF was prepared for everything they threw against them. It was nerve biting for the home fans when one of their essential key players got sent off with a fractured skull but the coolness from GIF coach fell well out when he stopped the team apothecary from trying to save him.

Soon after, the Raiders evened the field by them self when The Gimp dead

failed a dodge and was sent off for the rest of the game. Seconds after Loaf Bounty (50000 gp)

got a dream hit on GIF:s only male player profile

Arngrim Rödskägge that first seemed to send him off for the game but thankfully their apothecary was free to patch him up for the second half. A bit bold but very wise in the end.

The rest of the half GIF secured the ball and concentrated on beating up the Rider players which gave good pay with one goblin dead and another one stuck in the knock out booth. The very last second profile

Þorfrid gave GIF the lead after a very safe touchdown.

Skuld from GIF was to exhausted to continue playing.

Second half GIF took the part as offence, and when the half kicked off the weather seemed to change for a second but before the ball landed the heat was back on.
GIF quickly took advantage of their offensive drive and built a solid offence that gave them yet another goal when profile

Yrsa walked the ball into Raider endzone.

Once again the heat took its toll when Buddy Rimbreaker Bounty (40000 gp)

and Riggy Nudgenails from the Riders took a time out in the watering hole leaving the visiting team without two of their key players. For GIF profile

Once again the raiders took the role as offence. Poorly...
The home fans cheering got them of balance and gave the home team the edge they needed to really shine.
The raiders quickly became very offensive and tried to run for it with a misplaced ring of teleportation leaving Slange "Trigger" Rift dead

completely open just a few meters down the field with four GIF blitzers charging toward him.

After he ate grass GIF got hold of the ball and had clear field downhill for their new draft profile

Disa whom brought a whole new mobility to the way GIF moves around the field.
Her nerves was on the outside though and she failed to catch a simple hand off that almost gave the raiders an opportunity to reduce but she got hold of her self, took control and at the very last second scored her first goal in GIF colours.

Last play for today's match GIF put a strong group of defensive players on the line complete forgetting that the goblins are small and easy to throw for a troll but due to their perfect defensive capabilities got a chance to right their mistake and keep their goal line unvisited by the underworld team with a little help from the heat that left three raider players off the field completely.
